Hey Teacher Friend,
I have a few workshop announcements and save-the-dates for you today, plus a FREE (woohoo) editable studio calendar that may come in handy as you start thinking through your 2026–2027 studio year.
Registration is open: Policy Triangle and Calendar Planning Workshop
Studio policies are not just about rules.
They are one of the clearest ways we communicate how our studios work, what families can expect, and how we protect the time, energy, and structure needed to teach well.
In this workshop, we’ll use the Policy Triangle to connect your teaching philosophy, time, capacity, money, and studio calendar so your policies feel clear, intentional, and easier to share with families.
We’ll look at how your calendar and policies work together, so you are not just making decisions one parent email, makeup request, or scheduling issue at a time.
The goal is to create policies parents can actually read, understand, and acknowledge, while helping you communicate updates and boundaries with more confidence, kindness, and mutual respect.
Policy Triangle and Calendar Planning Workshop Friday, June 19 12:00–1:30 p.m. Eastern $25
Includes the live workshop, workbook pages, and replay access.
Save the Date: Studio Reset Cohort
The next Studio Reset Cohort will meet July 17, July 24, and July 31.
This will be a focused summer cohort for teachers who want time, structure, and support as they work through their studio setup, policies, systems, and planning for the year ahead.
More details coming soon.
Save the Date: Asynchronous Lesson Workshop
After talking with several teachers who were interested in this workshop, I decided it makes more sense to move it to Friday, September 4 at noon Eastern.
By September, most teachers are back in the thick of the school year, which is exactly when asynchronous lesson options become so helpful.
Registration details will be coming later.
Free 2026–2027 Studio Calendar
The editable studio calendar is now available as both a 10-month calendar and a 12-month calendar, so you can choose the version that fits the way your studio is set up.
It is a free Canva template, and I’m including the download directly in this email so you don’t have to go digging around for a link.

It may feel early for some of you, but this is one of those resources you’ll want to save now and come back to when you’re ready to plan your studio year.
Workshops I’m Looking Forward To
I also wanted to share a few workshops and trainings that are on my radar this summer.
Sara Campbell’s Studio Growth session through Group IlluminatED
Sara’s session, Studio Growth: Smart Strategies for Attracting + Keeping the Right Students, focuses on practical and sustainable ways to help the right families find your studio, build trust, and create a community families want to stay connected to.

Dalcroze Summer Training in Cincinnati
I’ll be attending this in-person Dalcroze training in Cincinnati, and I’m really looking forward to it. The week includes movement, solfège, piano improvisation, and Plastique Animée, and it is open to private lesson instructors, classroom teachers, directors, college students, and returning learners.

You all are fabulous and I appreciate you all,
