One of my favorite takeaways was her explanation of microbreaks, which are those short 10 to 15 second pauses that help the brain process what it just practiced. I’ve been testing them in my own studio this month, and my students are loving it.
Here’s what we’ve been trying (I set a timer for 10 to 15 seconds and say MICROBREAK):

● Fidget toys
Modeling it in lessons has made such a difference.
