Hey Teacher Friend,
Alrighty, it is April 1st, and I promise this is not a prank.
But if you pranked your students, please tell me, because I would love to hear all about it 😉
Today is the day I get to share something I’m really, really excited about.
You might remember a few weeks ago when I hosted the summer camp meetup and teachers shared all their favorite ideas. I mentioned then that I was working on a camp based on Coda and that is exactly what I did.
So I’m excited to officially share this 4-day (optional 5th day performance) piano camp based on the book, Coda and the Mysteriously Moving Ball.
If you’ve ever thought about doing a camp but didn’t want to spend hours planning it all out, this is exactly why I made this. So you don’t have to (b/c been there done that!).
This camp is built around things I already use in my studio. I based the games on my students’ absolute favorites… the ones they ask to play again and again, and the ones I know they’re actually learning from, along with activities that I know work.
We do lots of movement, off-the-bench ideas, simple rote playing, improv, pre-reader options if that’s your jam, and just enough structure to keep things moving without it feeling like a lot.
My goal with this was very simple: I wanted you to be able to open it, print it, and teach it.
There’s a Spotify playlist included, all the printables are ready to go, and most of the materials are things you probably already have. And if not, I added a simple Amazon list so you don’t have to go searching.
One important thing: This camp is centered around Coda and the Mysteriously Moving Ball, so everything connects back to the story as you go.
If you’ve already purchased the book, I made a separate option so you can just grab the camp and not pay for it again.
If you don’t have the book yet, there’s a bundle that includes everything together.
I kept the pricing simple and fair:
- Camp only: $30
- Bundle (camp + book): $55
The bundle is just there for convenience. No upsell or no weird pricing.
If you’re looking for something easy, engaging, and ready to go for summer, I really hope you give this one a shot.
Let me know if you end up using it. I would love to hear how it goes in your studio.
Much love,
Jaci
