A few days ago, I was chatting with the owner of a multi-teacher music studio about my upcoming Scrappy Circle with Molly Gebrian happening next week, and she mentioned that she’s requiring her teachers to attend as part of their professional development.
And I LOVE that she’s doing this because that’s exactly how I hope teachers will look at this opportunity!
One of the things I’ve learned from Molly is that understanding how our brains actually learn can completely change the way we approach practicing, teaching, and performing. And while most of us are piano teachers around here, this information goes so much further than the piano studio.
